Tanya Harness-Floyd
United States
My name is Tanya Floyd and I am a custom lampwork,
jewelry, and PMC(Precious Metal Clay) artist. I am represented through the
SRA organization. My identification number is SRA#F56. This information can be verified at the following link: www.self-representing-artist.c…

I grew up with two proficient artists as parents; however, I didn't discover my artistic talent until my 30's. I attended East Carolina University and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Education. I went on to pursue my career the following 12 years in the medical software industry. I thought I was going to be one of those career mom's, giving no second thought to staying home. However, after the birth of my first child, my whole outlook on life changed. I chose to put my career on hold and I became a full-time stay-home mom, having a total of 3 children to complete our family. This is when I discovered I had a creative side like my parents, that had been lying dormant. The world of creating jewelry opened up for me. This is what led to my passion, creating custom lampwork beads. The past 5 years has been dedicated solely to making custom lampwork beads in my own personal studio in Wake Forest , NC. Overall, I have 7 years of experience, if I include creating jewelry and working with PMC.

I am still in the process of adding everything into my website. Presently everything I sell is posted on Ebay. Once I get my website completed, I will begin selling my beads, jewelry, and accessories on this website. You can access my gallery section and view past beads I have created and sold. I also have added a link to my blog: . With my beads I strive for quality, not quantity, and they are never mass produced. Lastly and mostly, I want my beads to display the enthusiasm and love that I put into them.

Thank you for visiting!

Thank you. I haven't had a chance to make beads these past few months. I finally was able to light my torch last night and make 3 focal character beads. I just posted them in my gallery if you want to check them out. Sorry so late responding to your message but I haven't been on deviant art since I hadn't had a chance to make any new beads. Thank you again for the compliment.

You're quite welcome! I saw them in my watch messages. Very cute. No worries, sometimes creative passions have to be put on hold for other things.
